Which trackers fit the TailTrace mount?
It's moulded for the Apple AirTag (31.9 mm round) and fits any tracker of the same size and shape — including the TailTrace tracker we sell and other round AirTag-style Bluetooth tags. Samsung's round SmartTag-style tags of matching dimensions fit too; slimline or square tags won't.
Does the TailTrace tracker need a subscription?
No. It runs on Apple's Find My network with zero monthly fees. Note: pairing the TailTrace tracker requires an iPhone or iPad (iOS). If you're on Android with a Samsung SmartTag, choose the Case Only option and use your own tag.
Will it fit my dog's collar?
Yes — the mount fits straps from 1.6 cm to 2.6 cm wide, which covers nearly all collars and harnesses. It threads flat onto the strap, so nothing dangles or jingles.
Is it really waterproof?
The silicone shell is waterproof and swim-safe. The TailTrace tracker itself is IP68 dust and water resistant, and Apple's AirTag is IP67 — fine for rain, swims and muddy adventures.
How long does the battery last?
The TailTrace tracker runs up to 600 days on one replaceable battery. An Apple AirTag runs about a year on a standard CR2032 coin cell.
Can I track my dog in real time, anywhere?
